Sažetak


SUMMARY: The paper presents the tests on the water mist nozzles commonly employed in fire extinguishing systems in machinery spaces and pump rooms. The tests were performed according to the procedures defined by the International Maritime Organisation and comprise determination of the flow constant, flow distribution characteristics and the clogging tests. The tests were conducted as a part of the type approval procedure for the nozzle type WM5-90, as requested by the accredited insurance company.
