Sažetak

Reflections of the myth of objectivism and cognitive theory premises in Umberto Eco′s novel The Name of the Rose are analysed considering the understanding of mind-body corelation in cognitive mental processes. The influences of substantial dualism in formation of individual and cultural identification constructs are marked. The praxis of production and dissemination of universal thruths are researched involving objectivist, empirical and cognitive approach. Function of metaphor as thruth mediation instrument is explored.
