Complexity and dynamics of the cultural processes of the Late Bronze Age on the Eastern Adriatic coast: the example of more recent finds from Nin

Sažetak
The Late Bronze Age on the eastern Adriatic coast was marked by complex and exceptionally dynamic cultural processes recorded in different archaeological records, and possibly in the best way in the material culture. In that regard analyses of jewelry as a part of the deceased person’s attire offer exceptional potential for understanding and interpreting a segment of living of individuals and communities of the time. Jewelry in different historical epochs can be interpreted both as a narrative and a narrator, not only about the persons it accompanied in the grave but also about wider community that the deceased belonged to. Distinctly symbolical representation most often reflected the status of an individual and was a good indicator of affiliation to a certain social group. Archaeological heritage of Nin reflects an indelible trace in its exceptionally long chronological vertical by its ampleness and diversity. Elaborate costumes and luxurious jewelry will be enriched with the finds from the Klanice site that are the subject of this study in analysis and interpretation. These are a fibula with two knobs on the bow and a pin with onion-shaped head that characterize widespread trend of many heterogenous communities, in typological-stylistic and spatial terms, in particular in trans-Adriatic relations during the first phases of the Late Bronze Age of the late 13th and during the 12th century BC.
