Skok’s Understanding of the Dialectal Kajkavian Poetry Genesis

Sažetak
This paper analyses Skok’s understanding of the concept and the genesis of the dialectal Kajkavian poetry; first his effort to clarify and explain the concept itself by means of terminology, and then, by using the existing literature on the dialectal poetry to indicate the contribution and lack of different theories dealing with the phenomenon and to create a synthesis of the issues and finally give a conclusion. The methodology of the task has been clear and consistent, which contributed to structuring of the Kajkavian 20th century poetry and participating in literature and historical systematizations of new Croatian literature, being “type selected”, or genre selected in the last twenty years.
