Sažetak

The paper presents the need for quality designed promotional materials for the purpose of presenting the institution, its services, projects and promoting services that operate within the library. Furthermore paper deals with promotional materials as resources that shape visual perception and represents the library entirely. Through this paper, essential items that quality designed promotional materials must contain in order to fulfil its role within the assumption that it will help in the promotion of the library, its activities and services with permanent and potential users, are imposed. The purpose of the paper is to indicate the elements that must be present in every well designed promotional material. The paper also presents results of research conducted on the official Facebook page of the City and University library Osijek regarding previously used Library promotional materials, with the aim to evaluate user satisfaction and to include their suggestions in the future visual solutions.
