Sažetak

Modern application of the Blockchain technology is the center of attention of technology and economy sectors. Blockchain is the latest catalyst for transformation, with the potential to become the most significant digital trend in this and the coming decades. This technology can be said to have the potential to affect the entire chain of insurance processes, from data collection, risk analysis, pricing or premiums, issuing policies, processing payment claims and the like. In first chapter we will define Blockchain. After that we will describe basic of Blockchain technology. The focus of the paper is on the possibilities of applying this advanced technology in the insurance industry and its impact on insurance.
