Sažetak

At the beginning of October 1991, the preparations of 105th brigade of Croatian Army from Bjelovar commenced to depart for Western Slavonian front where was the strong and focerful pressure of Yugoslav National Army and rebel Serbs on Croatian defenses present. Part of the brigade gave important cotnribution to the liberation of the first place liberated on Novljan battlefield, village Bujavice, while the attack on neighbourhood village Lovska was unsuccessful. After that, brigade was engaged in operation „Orkan-91“ inside Operative group „Posavina“. The plan of operation consisted in concentration of the forces of „Posavina“ Operative group on the line Novska – Nova Gradiška, thus cutting the Yugoslav National Army and rebel Serbs on Lipik and Pakrac area and allowing the forces from Operative zone Bjelovar to destroy them. But, in spite of successful drive and liberation of the village Bair on occupied territory of Croatia, 105th brigade suffered substantial losses during the battle for Trokut, which shook their ranks morally. Ready to hold its acquired positions, brigade had to be pulled back to Bjelovar under the command of Operative zone Bjelovar at the beginning of November 1991. This paper, on the basis of, underway scientific project to publish a monography of 105th brigade, archival sources, literature and oral history, brings basic information on the war path of members of the 105th brigade who ere engaged in combat and conducted military operations in this area.
