The author analyzed the approach of the communist regime and its press towards the Catholic church in Croatia during the post-war period, and especially before and during the staged trial against the Archbishop of Zagreb Alojzije Stepinac in 1946. He analyzed the writing of a leading papers, such as Vjesnik.
