Sažetak

On the occasion of the death of the outstanding Croatian pedagogue and composer Miroslav Magdalenié (1906-1969) the author points out that Magdalenié belongs to the generation Of distinguished Croatian musicians. who between the two wars brought Croatian music up to the unimagined height. Among his compositions there ought to be mentioned. I String Quartet, Symphony in F minor and Romarska. His comp6ser's opus is based On Medjimurje folklore. Among pedagogical hand-books very important is "Solfeggio based on popular folklore expressions". which points out a new possibility in treatment Of future musicians.
