Sažetak
Hitherto prevailing, science inferences are not always conforming with the original documents of the history of theatre. The sample for the science verification is the repertoire of the Hvar Theatre. This paper examines the parametres of authors and genres and gives the conclusions about the theatre activity and science field condition. By the same parametres, the conclusion is put in the context by the presentation of different methods of description of the history intervals before and after the period in the centre of interest. It holds to the conclusion about the rank and the scope of the art performances in the 18th century in the context of entirety of the division into periods of the Hvar theatre until the present time. The data of author in the 18th century was in crisis, as it is in the 21st century. That could help to explain the contemporary socio-cultural conditions.
