Sažetak

Research at the Bršadin – Pašnjak pod selom site in 2016, 2018 and 2019 was conducted in two probes, of which Probe 1 was investigated to the virgin soil, and probe 2 in the upper 80 cm (Botić 2017a; 2017b; 2019). During the three seasons of research in Probe 1, several features belonging to the Late Neolithic layer were defined and a series of radiocarbon dates on animal bone samples was obtained, which enabled the preparation of a preliminary chronostratigraphic model. The settlement and its surroundings have been significantly altered and devastated through the past, so the actual extent and type of settlement is difficult to determine. It is most likely a tell settlement which, in addition to the Late Neolithic layer, most probably contained layers of later periods as well. The stratigraphy of later periods is disturbed, but a larger amount of portable finds was collected in the surface layers of Probe 2, which points to this conclusion. Preserved Late Neolithic layers at a height of app. 2 m indicate a shorter period of occupation of 200 years, i.e. the time of the end of the Vinča C phase, the entire Vinča C–D phase and the beginning of the Vinča D phase according to Milojčić’s classification (Milojčić 1949; Tasić et al. 2016: 825, Fig. 17) and late phase Sopot III and phase Sopot IV (Dimitrijević 1968; Marković 2012).
