Sažetak

The foundation on which faith as rational justification is based, is the dignity of the human person. The personal-philosophical approach of the paper tries to explain, from the standing point of fundamental theology, how faith is accomplished according to the theological cognitive theory, namely the anthropological- transcendental assumptions and conditions of the person. Within this explanation, faith is regarded as a decision and a responsible act. The concept of the dynamics of the personal act makes it possible to systematically justify faith, according to the political and socio-scientific criteria of the libertarian political system, with the aim of showing complementary coexistence between the state and the Church, as a guiding thread for religious freedom. In the light of theology and human experience, the exercise of faith can be interpreted as a decision to believe, i.e. as a free and responsible act. The scientific presentation seeks to bring closer the social and political structures of our society with the social doctrine of the Church, in order to show the mutual direction towards the good of society and the Church. The dignity of the human person and the freedom of faith in the light of revelation, introduces the Church into dialogue with the world.
