Sažetak

The case of depressed skull fracture in newborn during spontaneous delivery is presented. It was for the mother the third delivery. In previous two deliveries the children have had the birth weight of 3200 grams. Actual delivery was at term, cephalic, without complications. Newborn’s weight was 3450 grams, length 52 cm. The Apgar score 9 after 1 minute and 10 after 5 minutes. During his staying in hospital the child had normal neurological status. After reduction of the head swelling (caput succedaneum), the left parietal bone depression was evident. At craniogram in AP projection the fracture at place of depression was not visible. After refering the child to the Clinic for child diseases, further radiology tests (RTG and CT) prooved the fracture at place of depression, after which followed craniotomy with depression elevation. The child was released from the Clinic at good shape and neurological status.
