METHOD OF PARABLE AS A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION

Sažetak
The article consists of two parts. In the first part the author takes
as a starting point the actual trend in theological professions. Namely,
theological experts, provoked by the current issues, have been increasingly
communicating. In this respect the author refers to the relevant
results of that inter-theological (scientific) communication that, in
the field of theology, cause the change of educational-communication
process. Thanks to that (broader) inter-religious communication we
have become increasingly aware of a hundred-year-old problem, i.e.
the problem of the relation between the method and content In that
perspective, in the second part, the author considers, on the basis
of verified models in practice, the efficiency of the method of biblical
parable, which affirms the catechetic communication. Parable is a
biblical method that has been increasingly used in the humanities.
Thus, the method of biblical parable has its foothold in human personality,
and it displays itself as an answer to the need for the development
of human-religious capacities, particularly the capacity for
marvelling. On the basis of two kinds of parables the author analyses
their communication validity in which double credibility is expressed
– credibility to the content/biblical message and credibility to the
person catechised, i.e. to his/her needs and abilities. In brief, we are
talking about theological-catechetic creativity for all age groups. In the
final part the author points to the possibilities of further development
of such catechetic communication, particularly in creating a new talk
of faith. The purpose of the chosen literature and two contributions is
to encourage further theoretical-practical investigations in the field of
catechetic communication.
