The project called EQUESTA (Electronic, Quality Assured, European Steel Training and Assessment for Steel Design and Construction) is realized in the scope of the Leonardo da Vinci lifelong learning programme. It has been devised for development of e-learning in the field of design and construction of steel structures. Current practice in partner countries, i.e. in Great Britain, Czech Republic, Romania and Croatia, is described. The training programme consisting of twelve modules, aimed at continuous improvement of engineers and technicians, is presented.
