Family Restoration – The Basis of the Croatian Advancement

Sažetak
Communist ideology caused the crisis in family life. In accordance with that conclusion, the author deals with the restoration of the family, being the basic link of the advancement of Croatia in various fields. The paper consists of three parts. The first one deals with basic characteristics and with seven basic family functions: biological and reproductive, educational, economic, social and cultural, moral, religious and patriotic. In the second part, the author presents demographic indexes that warn us about the biggest possible danger, the danger of the extinction of the Croatian people. In the third part, concrete measures for the revitalization of the family life are recommended, with which the crisis may be overcome and the danger avoided.
