Sažetak
The process of reconstruction of the Croatian institutions in the system of financial and real economy is in full swing. Liberalization and privatization are the main current policy methods. The retirement scheme reform is in the focus of the social and political public attention. The article deals with the reform from a developmental perspective of the Croatian economy, which is characterized by the long-lasting recession and underemployment of the production potentials and labour force, as well as of an undeveloped financial market.
