Analysis of housing regulations in the Belt under the Medvednica mountain

Sažetak
At a time when various changes are being made in town plans, Zagreb's northern belt, which is topographically specific, has largely not been especially regulated. This area, which covers the southern most spurs of Mount Medvednica, is one where hills and troughs rhythmically interchange, and the streets that developed were of the type: H -on the ridge, U -in the trough, NK -on the slope. An analysis of the current General Urban Plan shows that there is no essential difference betwen the thre northern areas,
1.c., 2.c. and 2.d (defined without a clear criterion), nor betwen the treatment of the lots for three possible types of construction (freestanding, semi-detached and terraced houses). The plan regulates unusual details and impedes the construction of varied form sand compositions, where as imprecision in some essential elements theoretically enables very high building. The article concludes by supporting construction that will consider the special qualities of the north regions.
