Sažetak

In the List of Croatian Birds 401 species are included. There are 230 regularly nesting birds, 11 nesting irregularly and 9 species are extinct as nesting birds. For each species their seasonal status and the period of observations are also included. Evaluation of the number of nesting pairs and the level of endangerment for the nesting birds are given according to the IUCN, European threatened status and European Vertebrata Red data book, with some corrections. The geographical distribution in the particular areas of Croatia is shown for each species, while subspecies of polymorphic species observed in Croatia are only mentioned. For the rare 76 species recorded less than 10 times, references and a wider area of observation are given. There are 182 regular passage migrants and 94 species are typical winter visitors. Critically endangered are 31 species, 11 species are extinct, 158 species are stabile. Croatia is here divided into 15 geographical and administrative areas.
