Sažetak

The paper shows Voith-Schneider propeller, as one of the most convenient propulsion devices installed on ferries, tug-boats and other vessels where sophisticated manoeuvrability peformance is required. Beside the description of the device, it is given the overview of the forces acting on the blades, resulting in the propulsion of the vessel and review of materials for blade.
