Selection of machines for excavation of water main trenches

Sažetak
The process aimed at selecting machines for excavation of water main trenches, as conducted during bidding for the first-stage construction work on the regional water mains between Vrpolje and Vučevica, is described in the paper. Basic technical data about the facility, geological-geotechnical soil characteristics, on-site conditions, and requirements set in bidding documents, are presented. The selection of trenching machines is presented separately, and specific features of the works are given. It is reported that the main pipeline will be realized in three phases.
