Sažetak
Croatian federation of heavy draft horse breeders association is a roof national central federation with the aim of organization of implementing breeding of croatian coldblooded horse in the teritory of the Republic of Croatia. CFBHD is an autonomous, non party organization of volontarely associated associations and studfarm breeders of croatian coldblooded horse in the Republic of Croatia for the protection and promotion of common economic and interest goals. Croatian coldblooded horse is an autochthonous breed aimed for ecological meat production and the significant factor in preservation of croatian protected areas and biological diversity. Preparation of the Republic of Croatia for the entrance in the EU membership sets up certain demands also on the horse breeding in the Republic of Croatia. According to the EU conditions in the implemens of breeding programs not only for horses but other species of domestic animals, the bigger engagement of breeding associations is demanded. As a roof breeding organization of autochthonous breed of Croatian coldblooded horse, CFBHD is founded exactly for the reason of reorganization of horse breeding and adjustment of croating horse breeding to the horsebreeding in EU. At the same time, it is the first breeding organization adjusted to the new law regulations of the Republic of Croatia (NN 164/04) which regulates organization and verification of breeding organizations according to EU requirements.
