An Overview of the Varaždin Historiography – a Contiribution to the Bibliographia Warasdiensis

Sažetak
The city of Varaždin still does not have a comprehensive bibliography as a major cultural, scientifical, artistic, educational, administrative and political center of the north-west Croatia. Such bibliography would represent an important guideline and impulse to the further surveys of Varaždin and its region. As the work on such a lengthy and demanding research project has still not began, the article compiles published papers about the history of Varaždin as a contribution to the future city´s bibliography. This compilation is selected from the rich Varaždin historiography and it is limited to the papers published after 1945. The list includes biographies of prominent Varaždin citizens and individuals who contributed to the development of the city. The list does not include newspapers articles.
