Is the Croatian history metaphisical?

Sažetak

The author, in his essey, tries to show the central directive of
ontology of Croatian history is its metaphysical. In this notion of
methaphysics altaches a rather much wide importance, thinking by
thls at main distinction of ali more important aestethic-literary and
political efforts in the course of former Croatian history which
represent self-realization of the Croatian national being, but not at
the level of real histoiy, but at the level of ideal, common humanism,
transcedence and even theocratic. Namely, the Croatian mind is
deprived of real freedom guaranteed by proper statehood, and with
this also of the real history the Croatian mind desired toward the
abstract realization in the sphere of utopia. The author, that his
main thesis, explains not so much by systematic notion analysis,
but first of ali by enumeration rational impressions, which are
inspired by written documents, figures and happenings from
Croatian literary and political past.
