Adolescence is Not an End to Learning and School Adaptation Difficulties

Sažetak
Learning difficulties (usually lack of concentration, memorizing problems, etc.) are frequent in adolescence, just as are school absenteeism and conflicts with authorities (mostly parents and teachers). These difficulties are often short and transient in normal adolescence, and there is no need for any greater concern. However, they may sometimes become very intense and result in adolescent crisis. The outcome of this crisis may range from school failure, dropping out of school and other events to juvenile suicide. Adolescence is a very sensitive and stormy period of life, when an adolescent is torn between sexual impulses and school pressure. The family must also pass through a number of changes to be able to adequately accept their adolescent member.
