Heron's formula as the solution system of functional equations

Sažetak

In this article many non-standard methods and procedures are being
used to prove Heron's formula. Namely, by observing one system of functional equations with three real variables we reach a solution which square root has the same algebraic structure as the Heron's formula. While analyzing each of the four equations of the system
we get not only the information which confirme that the formula in question is indeed the Heron's formula but much more as well.
