Undersurface Salinity Minimum Participation in the Process of Making Deep Adriatic Sea-water

Sažetak
This paper deals with the phenomenon of undersurface salinity minimumin the Adriatic Sea on the basis of the data obtained during the explorations in the period between 1972 and 1985. It was found out that the process of sinking of the surface sea-water of less salinity is happening in the whole Adriatic basin, that the deep Adriatic sea-water is of autochthonous origin, and that seasonally it regularly takes part in the water-exchange with the Mediterranean basin.
