Sažetak
Discography as publishing activity has a significant role in the festival of the Varaždin Baroque Evenings; we can point out that the VBE if the festival with the greatest discography opus in Croatia and also in the wider area. Investigating the publishing activity of other music festivals in Croatia I discovered that such activity, i.e. practice, particularly continuous, does almost not exists. Thus it is possible to say that the festival has completely fulfilled its raison d’etre, both as a music event but likewise as a participant of development and preservation of the musical thought, i.e. research, performance and permanent recordings of the Croatian and European baroque music.
