The article attemps to shed light on the width of interests and professional skills of Rijeka physician Lionello Lenaz (1872-1939), and to warn about undeserved neglect of this medical writer, scientist, and practitioner. Demystifying leukemia, Lionello Lenaz particularly contributed to the advancement of haematology, while his studies on the cerebellar, extrapyramidal and vegetative systems enriched neurology.
