CONTRIBUTIONS TO GERMAN-JAPANESE MEDICAL RELATIONS
Abstract
Carl Troester (1856-1928), a Royal Prussian veterina ry surgeon, was sent to Tokyo to teach Japanese students veterinary medicine at t he Agricultural Faculty. The lan- guage of instruction was English. The course compri sed 36 hours per week. He was acknowledged by his students and on dismissal in 18 83, he was received by the Tenno. His later carrier at the Military Veterinary Academ y in Berlin earned him the position of a brigadier and university professor.Downloads
