Abstract
There is only little information about the management of households pursuing agricultural activities. Without their examination and analysis, however, it is difficult to learn about their life style and farming strategy, and about the resources they use in order to fulfill family needs. One of the approaches of examining the rural
society is the analysis of rural household management. Our study groups the behaviour patterns of farming households and explores inherent relationships between household and farming activities on the basis of a survey carried out in Heves County.
