The Journal of the Istrian Archives, published by the State Archives in Pazin, is a scientific journal. The Journal primarily publishes scientific papers on the broadest issues of the history of Istria from the point of view of various social and humanistic disciplines and the other contributions of scientific and professional interest: transcriptions and transliterations of smaller sections of the original documents, professional papers in the field of archival science, reports and notes on the activities of the State Archives in Pazin, peer reviews, reviews of books and periodicals, overviews, notices, obituaries and the like. Owing to the support of numerous collaborators, the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and some towns and municipalities of the Istrian County, the journal is published once a year.
Papers are subject to scientific classification, i.e. blind peer-review by two peer reviewers.
