Synthesis philosophica is an international scientific journal of Croatian Philosophical Society based in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia. The journal is known for being open to new ideas, approaches and methodologies, to diversity of orientations, schools of thought and ways of thinking, including multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies, but also to marginalized or unfairly neglected themes.
Synthesis philosophica regularly publishes two issues a year since 1986, and publishes exclusively original scientific papers, preliminary communications and review papers, but also critical reviews (recensions) of newly published (original or translated) monographies, collected works, collections of papers, encyclopaedias, dictionaries and other types of work relevant for the field of interest. Occasionally, the journal publishes reports on events such as international conferences.
Papers are published in English, German and French language. Excluding critical reviews (recensions), all papers undergo a double-blind anonymous peer review, with at least two referees per paper and at least one not being based in Republic of Croatia, and gain conditions for publishing on the basis of two positive reviews.
