The health policy of the European Union is aimed at protecting and improving the health of citizens and, in this regard, supports the modernisation and digitalisation of health (eco)systems and infrastructures. The healthcare ecosystem is a complex system with multiple actors, among which the patient or the user of healthcare should be highlighted as the main actor without whom the system would not exist. The question arises of the current possibility of participation of health care users in improving the health of individuals and the population with the use of digital technologies available today, such as eChart or information available on websites of health institutions. In answering this question, one of the possible approaches is the methodology of cognitive narrative with the participation of the main actors – healthcare users.
