Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Pannoniana uses Open Journal System (OJS) to peer review manuscript submissions. 

Please read and follow the Guidelines for authors, Guidelines for references, and Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement if you are interested in preparing and submitting a manuscript to Pannoniana. 

Articles

The journal publishes reviewed papers, research reports, scholar debates and reviews. Individual issues can be dedicated to more specific topics. Every article and contribution, except book reviews, will undergo a double-blind peer-review. Within the peer review process, papers published in the journal are categorized in one of the following categories: original scientific article, preliminary communication, review article and professional article.

Original scientific articles contain unpublished results of the original theoretical and practical research. Its authors must list all the inputs and information in such a manner that the accuracy of the provided data and the analysis carried out may be verified.

Preliminary communications contain the materials of the scientific data that need to be published urgently, or which contain only partial results of bigger research.

Review articles are critical and analytical overviews of a field of study.

Professional papers aim to provide information and introduce a field of study or problem area, while the author does not aspire to conduct a detailed scientific research of the subject matter.Section default policy
