About the Journal

The journal Police and Security publishes peer-reviewed scientific and professional papers in all areas of the activities of the police, including police and police sciences, criminal investigation, substantive criminal law,  criminal procedural and criminal executive law, public international and international criminal law, national security, criminology, penology, victimology, forensic medicine, forensic psychology and psychiatry, and related branches (history of the police, forensic anthropology, crime statistics and alike).

The journal has been published quarterly ever since 1953, and it replaced the journal that had been published between 1953 and 1991 under the title Manual for Professional Training of Law Enforcement Officers.

The Journal is included in the bibliographics databases of: Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek/Electronic Journals Library i Web of Science Core Collection (ESCI).
