Abstract

      Abstract cannot exceed 250 words, and manuscript 25 pages if previously Editor-in-Chief did not approve it. All author and editorial obligations/rights are given/confirmed during submission via Open Journal System. Please, keep into mind that abstract needs to be short and informative. That “informative” means (in 250 words or approx. 10 sentences) that authors need to give clear statements about researching area, explored surface or subsurface volume(s) in such area, data sources, quantities and analytical methods, and results (what they reached and what it means for readers).

Keywords: up to 5 terms (separated with “;”)

1. Introduction (here is example title of 1st level, paragraph with citation of figures and references, general rules and single figure with caption)

      In the ... area, (Figure 1), geological investigations were carried out... Upper Cretaceous limestones and dolomites from A and BFormations were investigated (Salem et al., 1991; Troger and Rohlich, 1991). Tables and figures should be included in DOC file as text (tables) and imported (figures) bitmaps (.jpg, .tiff ...).

      The position of figure or table in the text can be changed later by editors or reviewers. Using for figures and tables Arabic numerals. Avoid numbering individual figures as Figure 11a and Figure 11b (instead of Figure 11 and Figure 12). Figures and photos prepared for paper can be black-white or colour. Be sure to import in DOC clear, high-resolution figures and photos (150 or 300 dpi), because they could be reduced in size during formatting. Figures and tables are named in the following style:

Figure 1: Here comes the caption if only 1 sentence is used (one sentence may not end with a period)

Figure 2: This is caption of Figure 2. Note difference if 2 or more sentences are used.

      Note: one blank row is always necessary between any header and body text. Each new paragraph has indentation with value 0.63 cm (like in template).

         Note: all maps, of any kind, need to have accompanied (a) graphical scale, (b) geographical coordinates via latitude and longitude, (c) compass rose. Always use 1 blank row between previous paragraph and figure/table/equation top as well as equation bottom or figure/table caption.

      Note: DO NOT forget to propose UDC (one or more) for your manuscript, filling special header part on the page 1.

      Note: each manuscript would, as minimum, needs to have to following chapter/titles of 1st rank (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, References).

      Note: TABLES have to be presented using Word table tool, not as bitmaps.

2. Methods (example of chapter title)

      Note: There always needs to be at least two sentences between any header of different ranks.

2.1. Methods for lithofacies and diagenetic analysis (example of title of 2nd level)

2.1.1. Level 3 title with example equation

      Here is described calculation given in Equations 4 and 5 as follows:

Eq. 4 goes here... (4)

Where are:

F – breaking load (N),

A – surface of the samples (mm2),

σ - uniaxial compressive strength (MPa).

 Eq. 5 goes here...   (5)

Where are:

KLA - the coefficient of Los Angeles (%),

mo – weight of samples before testing (g),

m1 - weight of samples which remained on a 2 mm sieve after the testing and sieving (g).

3. Results

4. Discussion

5. Conclusions

6. References

      All references to publications in the text should be presented in a list of references. References, if necessary, can be divided into (1) published works, (2) unpublished reports and (3) internet sources. The manuscripts should be carefully checked to ensure that the spelling of the authors´ names and dates are exactly the same in the text as in the reference list.

      DOI can be given at the end of reference. The list of references should be arranged alphabetically based on first authors´ surname, chronologically. If same authors published with more co-author, alphabetical order is applied on second, third etc. co-author.

      Here is place if you wish to thank for any kind of help, financial, technical or other official support and similar.

Author’s contribution

            The author(s) are obligate to present main contribution of each listed co-authors, using 1-2 sentences per person. For GOOD example:

Name Surname (1) (academic title, level, job expertise…) provided the micropaleontological analysis, palaeoenvironmental interpretations and presentation of the results. Name Surname (2) (…) provided the micropaleontological analyses of F. adriatica and C. ketini. Name Surname (3) (…) provided the gastropod paleoecology. Name Surname (4) (…) performed the field work, contributing with the geology of the Gosau deposits.

Do NOT use common and general terms and expressions like "...defined idea and wrote manuscript; edited and corrected paper; review the content and prepare data..." (all of those examples are checked or done during editorial, reviewing or proof-reading works or represent trivial information).

Letter to editor (submitted as separate DOC file)

            Letter to editor is part of submission. The corresponding author is asked to state:

(a) Originality of work, i.e. that plagiarism is not present in any form;

(b) Propose, at least, two potential reviewers. The proposals have to include entire institutional address, academic rank, fields of expertise, link to reviewer bibliography and contact e-mail.

            This letter is obligatory part of the initial submission. If that is missing the submission will not be considered.

Letter to reviewers (submitted as separated DOC file)

            Letter to reviewers is obligatory part of any re-submission done after improving manuscript based on reviews. In such letter authors are obligate, point-by-point, reply on all reviewer’s comments and suggestions (whatever they are accepted or not). Structure of such letter needs to follow exactly the following form:

Title of manuscript: ...

Authors: ...

No. of review round: ...

Particular reviewer comment/opinion/suggestion

Author’s reply

Revised new part of the text with page and line where revision starts

Such table needs to be prepared for each particular reviewer.

Date and place                                                                                        Signature

The corresponding author is obligated upload, as part of re-submission, to upload the following:

  1. Letter to reviewers (as file type “other”);
  2. New version of manuscript as clean DOC (without track and changes visible), which included revisions (as file type “article”);
  3. New version of manuscript as DOC that includes “track and changes” (as file type “other).
