Sažetak

Presented are data on the production and catch of fish according to: species, the surface area of the fish ponds, the fisheries equipment and the distribution of production and catch in 1991. The area which is used for production of fish has been decreased by 553 ha or 4.52%, and the total amount of fish has decreased by 3.548 tons or 22.6%. The highest fish production was reached by the fish farm in Čazma. (1905 kg/ha).
The feeding coefficient 3.20, is less by 5.88% than it was in 1990. Only on one fish farm is the feeding coefficient less than 2.0 kg (1.14 kg), and on 8 large fish farms this coefficient is higher than 3.20 kg. The dominant food for fish is still corn, then wheat.
The use of fertilizer has been decreased by 25.0%.
Of the total surface area of the fish farm the growing ponds make up 1.52% of the area, the fry ponds 25.85%, and the culturing ponds for consumption fish 71.12%.
The total amount of fish in the carp fish ponds was 984 kg/ha, and in the trout ponds 256 tons. Of all the fish species the highest produced is the carp (85.34%), then the herbivorous fish with 6.06%, and all the remaining fish made up 8.60% of the total production.
In the structure of herbivorous fish the big head carp is in the first place with 49.9%, followed by the grass carp with 38.2%, then the silver carp with 12.4%. In comparison with the previous year (1990), the production was increased for the sheat fish by 2.5%, and there was a significant decrease in the tinch fish and trout.
The catch of fish in open waters was decreased by 48.4% in comparison with 1990.
Calculating the total production and catch of freshwater fish, the carp make up 88.13%, the herbivorous fish 5.64%, trout 2.14%, the sheat fish, pike-perch and pike fish 2.46 and all the remaining fish species make up 2.46%.
The distribution of production and catch is as follows: 62.98% was sold to the market, 26.93% was used for reproduction purposes (stocking the fish farm), and the mortalities etc. amounted to 7.22%. For our own consumption (sports fishing) 2.87% was used. The number of fisheries workers decreased by 13.62%, and the production of each worker decreased by 13.62% compared to 1990.
Each worker produced an average of 10.78 tons of fish. The highest production this year was reached in Končanica (18.34 tons).
