Sažetak

Geographic information system (GIS) is a basic information system in the electricity distribution which unifies the environment and attributes data. GIS includes all objects of electricity network, geodetic data, cadaster data, address data, etc. Data which are in the GIS serve various applications, like implementation in the development, networks building, management and maintenance function of power distribution, different analyses, different calculations, etc. The mission of the GIS is also to manage the area information on electricity objects, property law documentations, project documentations, design documentations, and every other documentation related to the purpose of electricity distribution. The modern GIS allows entering, takeover, keeping and securing the data, as well as the possibility to connect with other systems. The data in GIS have their own mutual topological and logical connections; thus it is possible to perform various physical and logical analyses. Data interpretation in GIS can have its own different graphic interpretations; schemes, geodetic place, selective data access, emphasis of individual data, etc. GIS enables different customers to have different access to information; some customers are allowed to enter and change the data, while the others can only browse and analyze them. The widest possible number of users is enabled access trough the web user interface.
