further, and already in 1934 the ambulance was transformed into a small clinical department. During the long period of its development, contemporary University Dental Clinic in Zagreb grew into an institution with over 150 employees who develop all clinical dental disciplines recognized today, at 9 clinical and faculty departments on the present location in Gundulićeva Street No. 5. Most of the teachers and teaching assistants, including the majority of medical support staff are employees of both the faculty and the Clinic and they divide their working hours between the two institutions. The professionals of the Clinic are involved in scientific research and teaching:
they are academics and associates, with more than fifty doctors of science all together. Taking into consideration their number and scientific and educational structure, the employees of the University Dental Clinic in Zagreb represent a unique professional potential on the field of dental medicine in the Republic of Croatia today.
