Protein contents of milk in Vojvodina

Sažetak

Milk samples of large herds from Vojvodina (North-Eastern Yugoslavia) were analyzed on protein content by a Pro-Milk Mk II apparatus over a period of three years. Number of analyzed samples was 754, mean percentage 3.28+0.0104, standard deviation 0.285 and variation coefficient 8.75 %. The percentage of samples containing less than 2.95 % protein was over 14 %. It was found only 5.4 % of samples containing more than 3.75 % protein. The lowest month average was found in May (3.19 %), and highest in November (3.36 %).
