SAFETY AT WORK AS A FUNCTION OF ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE
DRAŽEN PAVKOVIĆ
Sažetak
The concept of organisational culture is becoming dominant in the analysis of an organisation's success and development. The efficiency of an organisation is related to the organisational culture which affects planning, organisation, staff policy, management and control. In the everyday struggle for survival and market success, an organisation must engage all available resources, strengths and methods if it is to meet with success in business. This is why safety at work is part of organisational culture, determining the limits of acceptable and unacceptable behaviour and work practices in an organisation. The development of subcultures in the field of safety at work results in the reduction of accidents and injuries at work and, consequently, lower business costs and losses.
