Sažetak
Ever faster obsoleteness of knowledge, skills and attitudes caused by new scientific discoveries, technological and other changes, led to changes in adult education in which education is becoming "the fastest growing industry" in the world.
Adults are forced to cope with the processes of systematic and continuous lifelong learning through a variety of ways (formal, non-formal and informal).
In a sample of 321 participants, using the combined technique of experiential learning and learning with use of mental maps, appropriate for the older population of students with poor or no mental condition, considerable progress was observed in achieving results in a shorter period of time but also in their higher self-esteem and self-respect.
Adult education therefore also recognizes the affective component of lifelong learning.
