The influence of small businesses on the progress of the economy of Osijek-baranja county

Sažetak

The main goal of this paper is to research the current situation of the micro entities of small enterprises in Osijek-baranja county and to define the possibilities of their further development through the systematic learning about entrepreneurship. The analysis of the current situation of the micro entities would refer to investigating in what measure do entrepreneurs use stimulating funds for investing into infrastructural development (in business zones), in what measure do entrepreneurs use natural resources, how big is the influence of education in order to increase competitiveness and how much do the entrepreneurs of Osijek baranja county through the active learning methods, work on making their own brands. Hypothesis, which will be elaborated in this paper are:
• micro entities achieve the greatest placement of their products on the domestic market
• economic crisis has a negative effect on founding and developing of micro entities of small
entities in Osijek-baranja county
• insufficiently developed legal regulations and education effects financial benefits which
are necessary for small enterprises.
