Sažetak
Ergometry is a noninvasive test that enables follow up of patients undergoing percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PCI) and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). It has a role in diagnosis of coronary disease, evaluation of cardiovascular performance, in detection of complex cardiac arrhythmias and in monitoring of arterial pressure
during strain. The aim of this paper was to present the issue of asymptomatic ST denivelation during stress testing which may have a decisive impact on prognosis and affect the patient’s future life. From 2006 till 2012, 155 such patients have been detected (more females than males) with asymptomatic ST segment decrease during ergometry. Coronarography has been performed in 120 of these 155 patients (77.4%). All patients with borderline findings during ergometry, according to the present procedure standards, should undergo coronarography if possible. Further diagnostics and treatment must be carried out on the basis of clinical experience. Regardless of modest specificity and sensitivity, ergometry is still the main diagnostic method in re-evaluating patients who had been
treated for coronary disease (PTCA and CABG), and in detecting or eliminating a new coronary heart disease.
