Abstract
This text analyzes and interprets the poem šuma, the programmatic poem of the complete poetical works of Anka Žagar. The first part of the text covers the formal-stylistic analysis that opens up space for further analysis on the content, ideological and thematic-motif plan, that is the second part of the text. The entire interpretation takes into account diverse and idiosyncratic components of Žagar's poetic writing: elements of the avant-garde / surrealism, semantic concretism, standard-linguistic transgression, field of desire for the other, need for intimacy and unity, linguistic creation and worldmaking, (im)possibility of language - dispersion and atomisation of the (metaphorising) speech, openness and closeness of one's own poetic discursive horizon, etc. At the very end, the sinegdohical workflow through the idea and the motif of the forest in Žagar's poetry is attached.
