Abstract

The paper points to the need and possibilities for organizing educational activities for pre-school children in learning about and exploring the cultural heritage in the museum context. It pays special attention to the fundamental starting points in the heritage research in the museum environment. At the end of the article there is a brief overview of experience in the organization of the visit to Ethnological department of the National Museum in Zadar. The museum exhibits have aroused a great interest in the children and encouraged them to discuss and engage in the different types of activities in a joyful and spontaneous atmosphere.
