Sažetak
Canvases are coated fabrics whose mechanical properties are substantially improved in comparison with the basic textile material. This work will present the experimental testing and determining of the mechanical properties of canvas. Four samples were tested under tensile force at the angles of 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75° and 90°. The fabrics were tested before the coating, as well as after one, two and three coatings. Breaking forces, elongation at break, breaking energy, elasticity module and anisotropy degree of textile coated fabrics were determined. It is demonstrated that by adding the number of applied coatings, the values of breaking forces, elongation at break, breaking energy and elasticity modules were increased, while simultaneously anisotropy coefficients were decreased. Anisotropic properties of coated fabric with multiple layers are decreased, while isotropic properties are increased. This work compares experimental and theoretical elasticity module values and their difference is reduced with the addition of coatings.
