Sažetak
In order to expand the number of red grape cultivars suitable for northwestern Croatia region experimental vineyard of Syrah has been planted on experimental field Jazbina, which is the part of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb. Biological and agronomic evaluation of named cultivar has been done. Preliminary one-year results show that Syrah have good yield, soluble solids and total acidity ratio, as well as adequate polyphenol concentrations in berry skin. On the base of obtained results, we can conclude that cultivar have a high potential for cultivation in northwestern Croatia region.
