Ivona Ondelj
Sažetak
The book „Overcoming the EU Crisis: EU Perspectives after the Eastern Enlargement“ presents a volume edited by Attila Ágh and Alexandra Ferencz, as a part of the FP6 EU – Consent project “Wider Europe, Deeper Integration” which includes around 50 European academic institutions. The EU Consent project has been focused upon issues of deepening and widening in the EU27 as well as upon the specifics of relationship between old and new member states of the EU. The Institute for International Relations from Zagreb is a partner in this Europe-wide project.
The book is result of the conference organized within EU Consent project, which has taken place from 26th to 28th October 2006 in Budapest. Main approach of this book is based on elaboration of the transformation of the new member states within EU on one side, and on main impacts which Eastern Enlargement has had on the old member states on the other side. The book offers texts of twelve authors elaborating different subjects which have been sorted into three main categories: those dealing with EU 27 perspectives, those dealing with possible enlargement perspectives and consequences and those dealing with Hungarian perspectives in an East Central European context.
